Biography
Mani Shafiei was an accounting student who was killed by security forces during protests in Islamshahr in January 2026. He was shot in the kidney while searching for his father, Mehdi Shafiei, who was also shot and killed during the same unrest. Their family was reportedly forced to pay 500 million tomans to retrieve their bodies before burying them in their ancestral village in Hamadan.
مانی شفیعی، دانشجوی حسابداری، در جریان اعتراضات دیماه ۱۴۰۴ در اسلامشهر بر اثر شلیک نیروهای امنیتی جان باخت. او که برای پیدا کردن پدرش، مهدی شفیعی، از خانه خارج شده بود، هدف گلوله جنگی قرار گرفت و در آغوش مادربزرگش جان سپرد. خانواده او برای تحویل پیکر مانی و پدرش ۵۰۰ میلیون تومان پرداخت کردند و در نهایت آنها را در روستای چنار اسدآباد همدان به خاک سپردند.
